Plastic Head

Born in the final year of the 1980s and raised through the colourful landscape of the 1990s, I grew up obsessed with Saturday morning cartoons, early video games, and the films that defined my childhood. That enduring passion for creativity, combined with a strong sense of nostalgia, became the driving force behind my experimental art project, Plastic Heads.

Plastic Heads is a distinctive collection of images that celebrates the nostalgia, personality, and craftsmanship of beloved action figures. Whether it’s an iconic toy from the 80s or a contemporary collectible, each photograph seeks to capture the unique character of the figure and its place within pop culture history.

Using inventive lighting and bold, front-on portrait headshots, I create images designed to spark the imagination and stir fond memories. Through this series I hope to offer a fresh, thoughtful perspective on the timeless craft of toy photography and to encourage others to recognise and appreciate the subtle beauty of these cherished objects.

If you’re a fan of vintage toys or a collector of modern figures, I invite you to explore my work and discover the personality and charm packed into every one of my Plastic Heads.

"I want the action figures to be remembered just like I did as a boy on my birthday, pristine and beautiful."
